Den Lacke wollte ich euch schon letztes Wochenende zu den Lilalaunelacken zeigen, aber irgendwie habe ich mich total in Frühlingsputz und Sims 3 verloren. Not gonna lie. Aber ich kann ihn euch ja immer noch zeigen, das musste einfach noch gesagt werden, da ich niemanden mit der plötzlichen Nagellängenänderung verwirren möchte.

review: black cats via bornprettystore

Meow,

I love black cats. But I'm probably biased because I have the best one by my side since 15 years and going. Meanwhile the cute black fuzzball has turned into a slightly grumpy old man. I was often told he doesn't look cute because he was born with a crooked tail, but I've never met a sweeter cat in my whole life. 
Well, this is a review post and not a black cat appreciation post, but I just wanted to express my crazy catlady love for this old boy.


Ich liebe schwarze Katzen, aber ich bin wohl ein bisschen voreingenommen, da ich seit 15 Jahren die Beste an meiner Seite habe. Inzwischen ist aus dem kleinen süssen Wohlknäuel ein leicht genervter alter Mann geworden. Ich musste mir schon oft anhören, dass meine Katze nicht niedlich ist, weil er mit einem krummen Schwanz zur Welt kam. Mir ist jedoch noch nie eine süssere Katze über den Weg gelaufen.
Eigentlich sollte dies ja ein Review Post werden und kein schwarze Katzen Anhänger Post, aber ich musste kurz ein Loblied an den alten Mann in meinem Leben singen.

review: pastel candy studs via bornprettystore

Hiya,

I "recently" got to pick 2 items for review from Bornprettystore and I'll be showing you those two within this week, so stay tuned for more! I say "recently" because it took almost 2 months to get here. Normally my BPS orders don't take that long, but I usually pay for tracking, so that might be the trick... or not. It's really hit or miss.

Ich durfte mir "neulich" 2 Artikel vom Bornprettystore aussuchen und möchte euch diese im Verlauf dieser Woche zeigen, also behaltet ein Auge auf den Blog für Teil 2! Ich sage "neulich" weil das Paket 2 Monate zu mir gebraucht hat. Normalerweise kommen meine Bestellungen vom BPS schneller an, aber ich zahle immer schön fürs Tracking, könnte daran liegen... Oder auch nicht. Vielleicht ist es auch reine Glückssache.

barry m - vintage violet

Heute "Lacke in Farbe...und bunt!" mit der Farbe Violett. Ähnliches Dilemma wie beim vorletzten Blue Friday Post: Farbdefinitionen! Ähnlich wie bei Blau und Pink, besitze ich sehr viele violette und lilafarbene Lacke. Flieder und Aubergine sollten es ja schon mal nicht werden, laut Ankündigung. Ein Violett, schön in der Mitte. Doch wo fängt Violett an? Und ab wo wird es schon zu dunkel? Wann ist es Lila? Gibt's da echt einen so grossen Unterschied? Ich nahm mir also den einzigen* Lack in meiner Sammlung, der tatsächlich 'violet' im Namen hat: Vintage Violet von Barry M. Die Hersteller können sich ja nicht irren, oder? (Ja, ich schaue zum Bodyshop der seinen taupen Lack mit Gorgeous Grey benannte...)
*Wie ich später merkte, hätte ich noch einen anderen gehabt - Ultra Violet von Rimmel London.


Today it's violet for "Lacke in Farbe...und bunt!". Different story and yet, same dilemma as on Blue Friday: Colour definition! Much like blue and pink, I own a fair share of purple and violet polishes. It shouldn't be a light shade of lilac, nor should it be a reddish eggplant shade, that was written on the announcement. A nice violet in the middle. But when does a lilac become violet and when is it too dark? What makes a purple? Is there even a difference? I decided to reach for the only* polish in my stash that has the word 'violet' in its name: Vintage Violet by Barry M. The makers know their shit, amirite? (Yes, looking at you Bodyshop for naming your taupe polish Gorgeous Grey...)
* I later realised I in fact have another polish in my stash - Ultra Violet by Rimmel London.

Travelogue: London 2014

So I finally, finally, FINALLY managed to put this together! I wanted this to be a little more than just a haul post, thus I tried to add as much info about where to find stuff and get around London. A bit like a guide to London for nail polish addicts, if you know what I mean. I'm not native to London, but I think if I, a mere tourist, could find these places, chances are you'll find them just fine as well.

First is the most obvious you will want to visit and that's the drugstore. London, and I'm guessing the rest of the UK, has two big drugstore chains which are Boots and Superdrug. You'll find them anywhere, really. In Victoria Station alone there are two Boots and a Superdrug! And you'll love them. They have most of the big brands there and I found offers on pretty much all of them: 3 for 2, buy 2 for a special price or get a free product, buy one and get the second 50% off... So I'll just walk you through the brands and offers I found there.
