Nail Art: Sailor Chibi Moon's boots

Hi Dolls,

Sailor Chibi Moon's boots weren't my original inspiration for this design, but when I was done it's what came to my mind as I gazed upon my freshly painted nails.

Here's a picture of Sailor Chibi Moon in case you were living behind the moon and have no clue who she is... (Shame on you!)

So pink isn't exactly a Fall colour, but it's next week's colour over at "Lacke in Farbe...und bunt!". Therefor I picked out some pink polishes and set them up on my TV table so I could pick one. Instead, I started painting this.

I've recently taken a big liking to cutout nails or negative space nails, basically having parts of your naked nails showing. (Never my yellow tips, tho..!) Thus I did a cutout design for my two accent fingers. My pink base colour is Call Me Princess by Catrice from their Crushed Crystals line (basically just another sparkly sand polish).
I used striping tape and Essie's Blanc to create the base for my accents, added a layer of Seche Vite so I could add another tape and paint the tips pink. Added a little gold square stud from Bornprettystore and ta-daa, it looks like Sailor Chibi Moon's boots! Notreally.

The pink really pops against the white, so I tried to achieve the same intensity on the plain nails, which I failed at miserably... I ended up applying 3 coats, which dried quickly, but still, it's not the same.

Since it was bedtime, I topped everything off with a layer of Seche Vite, completely eliminating the purpose of the sand polish. It's still a little rough and oh so sparkly, I couldn't stop staring at my nails during work the whole day.
